  • Yesterday...

    I went to the gym and did my usual ride/row but didn't bother running.

    I did twice as many ab exercises as normal and then gave up in disgust.

    I ate healthily all day, and then probably doubled my calorie content between 5 and 9pm by having a pizza from Dominoes, a bottle of rose and loads of pringles AND most of a packet of Maryland cookies!

    Ah well. I'll need to get me to the gym later I guess. Life is for living!

  • Quick post...

    I made it to the gym today, didn't do so well at the running, had to quit part way but still better than not having tried!

    Tomorrow I am gonna look foolish - I am gonna ask the gym mope what I can do in the space of a week for the best ab results. It is all I can do, and at least I will be giving it a go!

    Too little too late I know, but at least if I go mad for a week I will also be able to buy that bikini - AND there's a gym at the hotel too! So when I wake up I can go for a fix and have no excuses!

    Ok, lots of healthy snacks packed AND sandwiches made, gotta go

  • Less than two weeks to go!

    My mind tells me not to bother with the gym cos I'll never have the figure I want. I'm desperately fighting that thought. I know every little helps, and considering all the rich food I'll no doubt overeat on holiday I'd best get a wriggle on!

    I made it to the gym this morning, ran 4kms in 23 minutes! I'm gonna try for 4.5kms in 30 minutes next time I think.

    Right, gotta toddle on to work in about 3 minutes, gonna be pulling some long shifts to get myself straight before the hols so may not be here much!

  • Better than yesterday!

    I met mum and went swimming today, she managed 28 lengths and I managed 24. It's the most I've ever done. In between lengths we were playing silly fools, trying to splash each other and catch the other ones foot. Was funny.

    Came away knackered and headed home. We had a real good spread for lunch, granary loaf, cheese, turkey, pickles, lettuce, ham, hummus, crisps, pickled onions and stuff. Tasty!

    Following that mum and I settled down for a game of scrabble, we haven't played in an age, and I totally trounced her. It was goood. Mum kept making up silly words which made me laugh and hubby (trying to stay impartial) try not to chuckle.

    Mums just left now and I have the rest of the day with hubby, yippee!

  • One of those days...

    Well I struggled today to be positive. I tried and failed to not take it out on the hubby. Breakfast was a bowl of muesli with yogurt. Yum! I had a driving lesson first thing and was neither rubbish or fab, but my test looms soon enough. Eeek. Theoretically I know enough to pass a test. In practice though? One car approaches and it all goes to pot!

    So, after that I came home and tried to sleep my foul mood away. I slept for over an hour, except for being woken by my alarm clock, my neighbour parking and my mum calling.

    Lunch was a tasty cheese and pickle sandwich with cherry tomatos.

    After lunch I went out to do my sit, was interesting but I still came home in a bad mood.

    So, I decided I'd head to the gym rather than sitting indoors feeling sorry for myself. And boy am I glad I did! It wasn't too busy. I started by doing the interval setting on the bicycle - I managed 3k in 10 minutes. I think. I was certainly out of puff by the end.

    Then I rowed 1000m in 5 minutes.

    Finally I set the treadmill for 30 minutes to run 4km. I haven't run that far in absolutely ages. Anyway, the machine sets the pace and I was supposed to match it for the full 30 minutes. So, I set off, and managed to get myself running at 9kph for a fair while, with odd bouts of 11 and 12kph sprinting.

    In the end I was 700 metres ahead of the pace setter, and finished in under 25 minutes. Proud of myself I am!

    I was in a good mood til I got home and somehow that black cloud came back. I ended up locking myself in the bathroom and having a shower with some loud music. Then we eventually made up and he cooked dinner whilst I arranged for our groceries to be delivered tomorrow afternoon.

    We sat down with supper to watch Taxi 3 (Taxi and Taxi 2 were very funny) but the DVD was cracked. Luckily I had one more rented film to watch - which went down better than I expected - Wanted is an 18 rated action film with a weak plot but alot of action. It was brilliant!

    End of day. Have a good bank holiday monday all!

  • Friday!

    I now have precisely two weeks to get my beach body, and I don;t think it's gonna happen! :no:

    I dont have the dedication required, and no matter how much I complain I like my food too much. I've been snacking at work, through stress and boredom, and it has had a negative effect on my skin. Still, the Caribbean sunshine usually works wonders!

    I made it to the gym yesterday, and again this morning so I am quite proud, ran 3k each day, and did sit-ups too. Just need to keep on it!

    Right, to work I must dash!
